Thalaivi: Kangana Ranaut Gets Called Madwoman For Taking Hormone Pills, Rangoli Says ‘She Is As All Good Actors’

Kangana Ranaut had revealed that for her weight gain in Thalaivi, she had consumed hormone pills to gain weight around the thighs and belly. A Twitter user called Kangana a madwoman, to which her sister Rangoli Chandel replied that she is mad, just like all good actors are!

Kangana Ranaut will be seen portraying the role of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa n her upcoming film Thalaivi, and the makers of  the film recently revealed the first look poster. As seen in the poster, Kangana Ranaut has clearly undergone a major transformation for her role and it received mixed responses from people. Her sister Rangoli Chandel had recently defended Kangana against people who had made fun of her look, and now, she has come to her rescue after a Twitter user called Kangana a madwoman.

Kangana Ranaut had revealed to Mid Day that she needed to gain weight so as to look voluptuous especially around belly and thighs. She said, “Since I am tall and skinny, and my face is angular, not round, I had to take mild doses of hormone pills to look different. Of course, I also started eating foods that promote weight gain.” She also used prosthetics to achieve the look. Now, responding to this news, a Twitter user wrote, “And I thought I had heard it all from Kangana. Can someone please just lock this madwoman in a room so she doesn't shoot off her mouth in the most atrocious manner. After a fan pointed out this Tweet, Kangana Ranaut’s sister and manager Rangoli Chandel wrote, “A mild doze of estrogen regular daily pill that most woman take for contraception can increase chances of fat accumulation aroud belly, arms thighs and hip areas, even if Kangana is mad as all good actors are but why mad people must be locked ? We need to ask ourselves.” Defending Kangana, Rangoli also wrote that great actors go to great lengths to get into the character, and while some respect them for their dedication some throw brickbats at them.




Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Iduri and Shailesh R Singh and is directed by Vijay. It is scheduled to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on 26th June 2020.
